Rates
All rates are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without notice.

Taxes and Gratuity
A 20% surcharge is applicable to all our rates to cover applicable taxes and service charge.  

Service charge will be distributed among all our team members. Please feel free to give more
on your departure if the service so moves you. Or give more to individuals who you think
deserves more.

Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are not included in our rates.

Airport shuttle bus transfer via Tourwise is available from Sangster's International Airport in
Montego Bay. This shuttle bus is likely to stop at several resorts along the way before arriving
at The Blue House. We will be happy to make arrangements for you at a cost of US$60 per
person round trip.

Private transfers are also available. 1-4 persons from Montego Bay currently cost $120 one
way, while 1-4 persons from Kingston would be $140.

Check in Time
Check-out time: 12:00 Noon; Check-in time: 3PM.

Confirmed Bookings
A 50% reservation payment is due at the time of booking. Confirmation will only be given
upon receipt of this deposit.

Final payment is due 60 days (90 days for Easter, Christmas and New Year) prior to scheduled
arrival date, unless otherwise agreed.

No Smoking Policy
We have a very strict no smoking indoor policy. Smoking is OK on the patios, balcony, pool
deck, and in the garden areas.  

Security Deposit
A Visa or Mastercard credit card deposit will be required on check-in for incidental charges
(telephone calls, meals, drinks etc )and as a security deposit against breakages, damages or
loss of property e.g. beach towels. This security deposit will be $200 per bed and breakfast
room booked or $500 per private villa rental.

Incidental charges, cleaning charges for smoking violations and cost of
damages/breakages/loss, if any, will be deducted in due course after thorough inspection by
the housekeeper. The balance will be refunded promptly to your credit card when you return
home.

Capacity of B&B Rooms or Villa
Persons occupying the rented property is restricted to those listed on your Reservation
Confirmation. Should there be changes made to your rental party after your reservation is
confirmed, the client agrees to notify TBH Resorts/The Blue House immediately for approval.
Approval should also be sought should you desire to increase the number of persons in your
rental party. The client agrees to pay any relevant charges that would arise.

Should a group misrepresent themselves, they will be asked to vacate the premises
immediately without refund.

Security/Non-Guest Policy
The Blue House strives to maintain good security to ensure the safety and protection of all
guests, staff and residents of the property.

It is imperative that you do NOT invite strangers (people you did not know prior to your trip)
into the villa for security reasons. This does not apply to your family or friends who may be
staying at another villa/hotel or who reside in Jamaica.

Should you like to have family/friends visit you during your stay at The Blue House, please
submit their names in writing to TBH Resorts Limited for approval prior to arriving in Jamaica.
Persons not pre-approved will be denied access to the property. Should drinks, meals or
services be provided for your visitors, charges will of course apply.

Persons separate from the rental party as stated in your reservation confirmation may NOT
stay overnight.

Quiet Enjoyment and Parties
The Blue House wishes to maintain a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of all our
guests. We rent to family groups and responsible adults only.  Guests shall be sufficiently quiet
and peaceful, so as not to disturb other guests or residents of the neighborhood.  

Green Hotel
We are an environmentally responsible resort with a strong commitment to environmental
management programs such as recycling, linen and towel reuse, composting, energy
conservation, water conservation, limited use of chemicals, management and staff education
and monitoring systems etc.

Please note that in a typical one week stay, fresh linens will be provided twice for the week.
Once at the beginning and again mid week.

Energy Surcharge
With the spiralling cost of energy, we ask that air conditioners be turned off when guests are
out of the bedrooms. Please keep all windows and doors closed when air conditioners are in
use.

Failure to comply will result in an energy surcharge of US$15 per room per night being added
to your charges.

General Cancellation/Refund Policy
All cancellations must be notified in writing directly to TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House.
For cancellations received:
  • 45 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date, you can book a new reservation
    within the following 365 days and apply your reservation payment to that new booking.
  • within 45 days of scheduled arrival date,  your full reservation payment will be forfeit.

There will be no refunds or re-booking for no shows, early departures or other violations of our
resort policy. Guests who abandon the rooms of TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House for any
reason whatsoever have no rights to compensation of any type.

Liability
TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to
person, property or otherwise resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, dangers incident
to the sea, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment, acts of the Government or other
authorities, de jure or de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances,
strikes, & riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, customs regulations, delays or
cancellation or changes in itinerary or schedule, or from acts or omissions of any kind or in any
way related to the accommodation or transportation offered herein or due to any other cause
beyond the control of TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House.

No warranty of safety is made by TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House. Clients should use
reasonable caution appropriate for living in a foreign country and in a house with a swimming
pool. The transportation carriers and other suppliers providing travel or other services are
independent contractors and not agents or employees of TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue
House. TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions,
representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or for any personal
injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting there from.
Specifically the client expressly releases TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House from any and all
liability for property loss, personal injury or death occurring for whatever reason at The Blue
House, from its transportation providers or from independent contractors.

These conditions constitute the entire agreement of TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue
House and the client, and they shall not be modified.
