Resort Policy

    Rates
    All rates are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without notice.  A 20% surcharge for applicable taxes &
    service charge will be added to all rates. A $2 per night government room tax will also be added.

    Airport Transfers
    Shuttle bus transfer is available from Sangster's International Airport in Montego Bay. This shuttle bus is likely to stop
    at several resorts along the way before arriving at The Blue House. Cost is US$60 per person round trip. Sorry, there is
    no shuttle from Kingston.

    Private transfers for 1-4 persons from Montego Bay currently cost $120 one way, while 1-4 persons from Kingston
    would be $150.

    Check in Time
    Check-out time: 11:00AM; Check-in time: 3:00PM.

    Confirmed Bookings
    A 50% reservation deposit is due at the time of booking. Confirmation will only be given upon receipt of this deposit.
    Your final payment, including your balance and a security deposit as listed below, is due 60 days (90 days for the
    weeks of Easter, Christmas and New Year) prior to scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise agreed.

    Security Deposit
    A deposit of $200 per room booked is required to be added to your final payment as a damage deposit against breakage,
    damages or loss of property e.g. beach towels. This deposit will be refunded within 48 hours after your departure unless
    a charge is incurred for damages or missing items.

    No Smoking Policy
            We have a very strict no smoking indoor policy. A US$200 per room cleaning fee will be enforced for non-compliance.
   Smoking is allowed on the patios, balcony, pool deck, and in the garden areas.

     Security/Non-Guest Policy
    The Blue House strives to maintain good security to ensure the safety and protection of all guests, staff and residents of  
    the property. Non registered guests may NOT stay overnight. It is imperative that you do NOT invite strangers
    (people you did not know prior to your trip) into the property for security reasons. Should you like to have your family
    or friends (staying at another resort or residing on the island) visit you during your stay at The Blue House, please
    submit their names in writing to The Blue House for approval prior to your arrival in Jamaica. Persons not pre-
    approved will be denied access to the property.
           
   Quiet Enjoyment and Parties
    The Blue House wishes to maintain a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of all our guests. We rent to family
    groups and responsible adults only.  Guests shall be sufficiently quiet and peaceful, so as not to disturb other guests or
    residents of the neighborhood.  

    Green Hotel
    We are an environmentally responsible resort with a strong commitment to environmental management programs
    such as recycling, linen and towel reuse, composting, energy conservation, water conservation, limited use of
    chemicals, management and staff education and monitoring systems etc.
    In a typical one week stay, fresh linens will be provided twice for the week, once on arrival and then again in the
    middle of your stay. Please advise us at time of booking if you require other arrangements.

    General Cancellation/Refund Policy
    All cancellation must be notified in writing directly to The Blue House. Should you cancel your reservation 60 days or
    more prior to your scheduled arrival date (90 days for Easter, Christmas and New Year), you will be charged a one
    time cancellation fee of US$250 OR you can opt to book a new reservation within the following 365 days and apply
    your entire reservation payment to that new reservation.
    We strongly advise that you purchase trip insurance as your entire reservation payment will be forfeit should you
    cancel within 60 days of your scheduled arrival date (90 days for Easter, Christmas and New Year). There will be no
    refunds or re-booking for no-shows, early departures or other violations of our resort policy.

    Liability
    No warranty of safety is made by The Blue House. Clients should use reasonable caution appropriate for living in a
    foreign country and in a house with a swimming pool. The transportation carriers and other suppliers providing travel
    or other services are independent contractors and not agents or employees of TBH Resorts Limited/The Blue House. The
    Blue House is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such
    suppliers or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting there from.
    Specifically the client expressly releases The Blue House from any and all liability for property loss, personal injury or
    death occurring for whatever reason at The Blue House, from its transportation providers or from independent
    contractors.

    These conditions constitute the entire agreement of The Blue House and the client, and they shall not be
    modified.
