Our Resort Policy

We’re thrilled you’re considering The Blue House for your stay in Jamaica. To keep everything smooth, relaxed, and stress-free (like your holiday should be), here’s what you need to know before you book.

Rates

All our rates are in US dollars and may change without notice.

A 20% surcharge is already included in the room rates you see on our website. This covers government taxes and service fees, along with a US$1 per night City Tax. That same 20% applies to dinners, your bar bill,  and any other charges during your stay.

Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-in: 3:00 PM
• Check-out: 11:00 AM
Need a little flexibility? Let us know ahead of time and we’ll do our best to help.

Booking & Payments

To secure your reservation, we ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before arrival, (90 days for Christmas/New Year week) unless we’ve made other arrangements. By booking, you agree that we may charge your card for the balance at that time.
• Booking within 60 days (90 Days for Christmas/New year week) of arrival? Full payment is required upfront.
• Any damages or losses will be charged to your card after checkout.

Green Hotel, Real Talk

We care deeply about the environment. That’s why we:
• Reuse linens and towels to reduce waste
• Provide fresh linens on arrival and again 3-4 days later depending on the length of your stay
• Recycle, compost, and minimize chemical use
• Ask that you turn off the A/C when you leave the room
• Ask that you keep windows and doors closed when the A/C is on

Failure to follow these A/C guidelines will result in an additional $30 daily fee per room.

No Smoking Indoors

Smoking indoors is not allowed.
You’re welcome to smoke outdoors as long as you’re away from others.
Smoking inside will result in a $200 deep-cleaning fee per room.

Security & Visitor Policy

Only registered guests may stay overnight.
If you’d like to invite friends or family to visit during your stay, please send us their names in advance.
Visitors who are not pre-approved will be turned away at the gate.

Keeping the Peace

We’re all about laid-back luxury.
Please keep noise levels low and be considerate of other guests and our neighbors.

Gratuities 

Tips for Darryl and the rest of our amazing team are always much appreciated, though never expected.
Hugs and love too, if you’d like to show your love and appreciation.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you cancel 60 days (90 days for Christmas/New year week) or more before arrival, we’ll apply your reservation payment toward a future stay within the next 12 months. A rebooking fee equivalent to one night’s room charge will be charged per room for re-booking.
Cancellations within 60 days (90 Days for Christmas/New year week) are non-refundable.
There are no refunds or rebooking options for no-shows, early departures, or policy violations.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that includes a “cancel for any reason” option.

Liability Disclaimer

We do everything we can to ensure your safety, but we are not responsible for:
• Accidents, injuries, or property loss
• Issues with transportation providers or third-party services
• Any unexpected events beyond our control

Please be cautious, especially around the pool, and remember you’re in a foreign country. Take care of yourself and each other.
