Sportsmen travel from all over the world to capture the large sport fish in the beautiful deep
waters off the north coast of Jamaica. The waters in the Ocho Rios vicinity are well-known for
a wide variety of fish, including mahi mahi, wahoo, blue and white marlin, tuna, sailfish,
barracuda, king fish and bonito.

Fall months are the best time for hooking a Blue Marlin, the most prized big game fish in
Jamaica.

Charter boats are available year round and a half-day excursion for one to four anglers will run
$500 including captain, crew, bait, tackle and a car/driver. A minimum 10% tip is appropriate.
Charter boat could keep up to 50% of the catch and Captains can arrange for your prized fish
to be mounted.

Bring you own drinks, food and ice or arrange with your driver to pick them up for you at the
neighbourhood supermarket. Our hot, tropical climate will dehydrated you pretty quickly so
remember to take lots of bottled water with you.
